Wiltshire Crimestoppers - 2008 Artists -Scissor Sisterz
Previous performances by the Scissor Sisterz have seen them perform with McFly, Chico and Journey South among others. They are an amazing, stunning and powerfully entertaining tribute band.
The tribute act recently met up with some members of the real Scissor Sisters who remarked that the tribute act performed some of their songs live better than them. You can’t get a better recommendation than that!
The nine-strong team of singers, musicians and dancers deliver an energetic set featuring well-known Scissors Sisters songs such as I Don’t Feel Like Dancing, Take your Mama, Mary, Filthy Gorgeous, and deliver them in a true professional way with passion for the entertainment factor.
Lead vocal are stunningly delivered by Matt Walkers, as golden boy Jake Shears. His stage presence and ability to hit and keep the high notes catch both eye and ear of the audience, his costumes prove that all that glitter is golden.
He is ably supported by the astounding Charlotte Marsden, taking the role of mistress of the ceremonies Ana Matronic. Her powerful vocals and her ability to work the crowd between numbers are just two of the talents she clearly relishes demonstrating, as she provides the spine of the band.
The three musicians- keyboard player Steven Thomas as Baby Daddy, guitarist Kit Milsom as Del Marquis and Richard Laws on drums as Paddy Boom bring the music to life.
Go-Go Dancers, Darren John, Wendy Hazel, Sarah Magor led by choreographer extraordinaire Adam Ludwell complete the dazzling picture with energetic, aerobic, flamboyant moves to take your breath away.
2008 is a busy year for the SisterZ with a jam-packed diary seeing them also appear in Italy, Thailand, Jersey, Isle of Wight, Bahrain to name a few. The Scissor SisterZ are extremely pleased to return to the stage at Bowood House having performed one of their first gigs there in 2006.
